great base for exploring amherst and nearby parks

During our stay for an anniversary celebration, we loved how close the inn was to beautiful parks, like Mill River Recreation Area just a short walk away, and we enjoyed delightful breakfasts, especially the amazing homemade popovers on Sunday, which made our mornings extra special.

our stay at black walnut inn was delightful! the king room was spacious, with comfy bedding and nice ceiling fans that kept us cool. the location is perfect for visiting a college town. the highlight was definitely the friendly staff who served us a fabulous home-cooked breakfast every morning. they truly went above and beyond!

I had an amazing time enjoying the delicious breakfast with homemade blueberry muffins, and Marie even shared a piece of her incredible pumpkin pie with me. The outdoor garden is a lovely spot to unwind, and the sun terrace is perfect for soaking in the views. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi was a bit slow at times, but honestly, that didn’t put a damper on my stay at all! 😊
